On May 29, Lokomotiv announced the departure of Artyom Dzyuba. The former captain of the Russian national team has been playing for the railway workers since February 2023.
“It seems to me that Dzyuba no longer needs football, he is simply not interested in it. It’s all about motivation, and he’s apparently lost it. Dziuba is no longer the same as before. This no longer corresponds to the RPL level,” Silkin said.
Dzyuba, 35, played 39 matches for Lokomotiv, scoring 12 goals and providing 9 assists.
