Spain announces official bid for Euro 2024

Marcos Llorente, Pau Kubarsi and Aleix Garcia were left out of the squad

Head coach Spain national team Luis de la Fuente announced the team’s final bid for European Championship 2024.

The list includes 16-year-old Barcelona winger Lamin Yamal, as well as Furia Roja veteran 38-year-old Jesus Navas. Barcelona defender Pau Kubarsi will miss the Euro, as will midfielders Aleix Garcia (Girona) and Marcos Llorente (Atlético).

Defenders: Jesus Navas (Sevilla), Dani Carvajal (Real Madrid), Aymeric Laporte (Al-Nasr), Nacho (Real Madrid), Robin Le Normand (Real Sociedad), Marc Cucurella (Chelsea), Alex Grimaldo (Leverkusen), Daniel Vivian (Athletic).

Midfielders: Rodri (Manchester City), Fabian Ruiz (PSG), Mikel Merino (Real Sociedad), Pedri (Barcelona), Martin Subimendi (Real Sociedad), Alex Baena (Villarreal), Fermin Lopez (Barcelona).

Forwards: Alvaro Morata (Atlético), Ferran Torres (Barcelona), Dani Olmo (RB Leipzig), Mikel Oyarzabal (Real Sociedad), Nico Williams (Atlético), Joselu (Real Madrid), Lamin Yamal (Barcelona), Ajose Perez (Betis) .


The Spanish national team will play in Group B at Euro 2024. De la Fuente’s team will open the tournament against Croatia on June 15, followed by Italy on June 20 and Albania on June 24.
