Ukrainian duet Marta Kostyuk / Dayana Yastremskaya received the seventh seed in the women’s doubles tennis tournament at Olympic Games 2024.
The first seeds in this category were the Americans Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula, who occupy the second and sixth lines of the WTA rankings, respectively. The second seeding number went to the Czechs Barbora Krejcikova and Kateřina Siniakova, and the third to the Italians Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini.
Let us recall that Kostyuk was also among the seeded tennis players (No. 12) in the singles category at the upcoming Olympics. The draw for the 2024 Olympic tennis tournament will take place on July 25.
In addition to Kostyuk, Ukraine will be represented in the singles tennis tournament at the 2024 Games in Paris by: Elina Svitolina, Dayana Yastremska, Angelina Kalinina. In doubles, in addition to Marta and Dayana, Lyudmila and Nadezhda Kichenok will play.
Our country will be represented in Paris by 140 athletes in 23 sports. This is the smallest representation of the blue and yellow during the Olympics.
The 2024 Summer Olympics will be held in France from July 26 to August 11. The competition will feature 329 sets of medals in 32 sports.
