The teams played another friendly match three days later.
Ukraine U-19 National Team played another friendly match against their peers from Switzerland – team Dmitry Mikhailenko lost with a score of 1:2.
Switzerland opened the scoring in the 33rd minute of the game, with Dorian Derbaci scoring. The hosts almost immediately doubled their advantage thanks to a precise strike by Loris Schreiber. Two minutes before the whistle for the break, Switzerland could have even increased the score to a large one, but Sinisa Dzemalja failed to beat Markijan Bacus from the 11-meter mark.
In the second half, Ukraine managed to win back one goal thanks to the efforts of Ruslan Vydysh, but Mykhailenko’s team was unable to avoid the final defeat.
Let us recall that on September 6, the Ukrainian U-19 team already played a friendly match against Switzerland – then there was a fighting draw with a score of 2:2. It is in Switzerland that the yellow-blues are currently holding a training camp.
The Ukrainian youth team is preparing for the Euro 2025 (U-19) qualification. According to the results of the draw for the first stage of the competition, Ukraine ended up in Group 1 together with the Netherlands, Slovenia and Kazakhstan. The mini-tournament will be held in the Netherlands, and the matches will take place on November 13, 16 and 19.
