The cup from the artist Matthias Kiss remains unnamed for now, but will receive a name in the near future
French League 1 presented a new championship cup for the winner season 2024/25. The trophy is said to be the final touch in the global brand transformation, which includes a new logo, visual and audio identity.
For the first time, the artist Matthias Kiss was involved in the production of the championship Cup, who developed a unique design, and the Christofle company was directly involved in the production of the premium vessel.
The new McDonald’s Ligue 1 Trophy is 54 centimeters long and weighs almost 10 kilograms. It features a massive hexagonal base in several steps, on which are engraved the names of Ligue 1 winners since its inception (season 1932/33). Columns rise above the base, and the structure is crowned by a brilliant sphere of impeccable shape. The entire cup is covered in gold.
The official name of the new trophy has not yet been given, but it is promised to be announced in the coming weeks.
Let us remind you that Ligue 1 received a new title partner from July 1 of this year – McDonald’s. The contract was concluded for three seasons.
The last three French championships (as well as 10 of the last 12) were won by Paris Saint-Germain. This season, the capital’s club was also in the lead at first, but at the moment (after seven rounds) it is two points behind Monaco.
