Red Bull Racing experimented with settings

Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez set the fourth and ninth fastest time in the second practice session of the Singapore Grand Prix. Red Bull Racing experimented with settings and solved technical problems with the car, so they do not consider Friday’s results to be indicative.

Max Verstappen (4th): “In the first practice the car was fast enough. In the second session we wanted to test some solutions – it took us more time to change some things in the car and then put everything back. Because of that, we didn’t manage to do a good job on the track, so I don’t think our results in the second practice can be considered representative. Of course we can still improve, but today’s results are not the end of the world.

In Singapore, speed is more important in one fast lap than at a distance. In the first practice we were able to work a bit on a long streak, but the team has a lot to analyze. However, I am optimistic.”

Sergio Perez (9th): “I lost time in the second practice – there were some problems with the engine, with the drivetrain. We have evaluated several settings and gathered a lot of information for analysis tonight.

We will try to find the optimal setting for Saturday and as usual we will do our best.”
