Yuki Tsunoda: The situation in the Constructors’ Championship has become more complicated

Yuki Tsunoda and Liam Lawson are optimistic about the final round of the season in Abu Dhabi. The RB drivers admit that it will be difficult to battle for sixth place in the constructors’ championship, but the team is not losing hope.

Yuki Tsunoda: “The weekend in Qatar proved difficult and over the next few days the team tried to find out why, a few laps after the start of the race, when I managed to regain several positions, our speed dropped sharply. I think this was partly due to the characteristics of the circuit, so I am more optimistic for the Abu Dhabi round, having qualified sixth and finished eighth at the Yas Marina Circuit last year.

The situation in the Constructors’ Championship has become more difficult for us, but I will attack as hard as I can to end the season in the best possible way.”

Liam Lawson: “The last race of the season is just around the corner, which is strange because it feels like it’s only just started. I’m looking forward to the race in Abu Dhabi at the circuit where I have driven in Formula 2 in the past. I also drove here for the first time in Formula 1 during the youth tests in 2021, so I am happy to be there. back.

The Abu Dhabi circuit is fun to drive, especially thanks to the new configuration. The team has had success in the past, so I am optimistic. “I’ve had some tough races, but I hope to end the season with a strong result.”
