At the Singapore Grand Prix, the Alpine team brought an updated bottom of the car. Esteban Okon expects the novelty to help add, but still, the absence of mistakes will be the determining factor for a good result this weekend.
Esteban Ocon: “The team is doing a fantastic job and continues to improve the car. Since the start of the season we have made a huge step forward, but it doesn’t stop there – we will still have new items. Let’s see what kind of ascent the new bottom will provide – the update is pretty important, but it’s important to get through the weekend without mistakes. I hope we make the best of it.
It’s great that we have returned to Singapore – from the moment of arrival I felt warmly welcomed. We went to the mall this morning for the Alpine Road Car presentation, and many fans came to the meeting. Their support will give us confidence this weekend.
The track itself is very difficult with a large number of turns. It won’t be easy because the new generation cars have very stiff suspension and some curbs are quite high and hard. I think it will be an interesting weekend, but we are ready.”
