Leclerc: We will win the race if we do everything perfectly

Charles Leclerc set the fastest qualifying time for the Singapore Grand Prix with his ninth pole position of the season. The Ferrari driver appreciates his chances of winning Sunday’s race.

Charles Leclerc: “There are great fans in the stands – it’s great that so many spectators came to see the podium.

Qualifying turned out to be very difficult – we spent the first and second parts on intermediate tires but didn’t know what to bet on the final. As a result, we decided at the last minute to go on slicks and rightly so. It was very difficult to drive – I made a mistake on the last lap and didn’t think I could win pole position, but I had enough time. I am very, very happy with the result!

On Friday I couldn’t do many laps due to some problems, but we recovered. We don’t have a lot of information about the car’s performance under racing conditions on this track, but if we do everything perfectly we can win.”
