Formula 1 is expanding its representation in America. In Austin, the Circuit of the Americas hosts the United States Grand Prix, and now the circuit is making its debut in Miami. In addition, a contract has been signed to host the Las Vegas Grand Prix on the very interesting Caesars Palace circuit. The return of Las Vegas to Formula 1 will take place in 2023. Previously, 2 Grands Prix had taken place there in 1981 and 1982.

Miami International Speedway was designed specifically for Formula 1 racing. It is located on the grounds of Hard Rock Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins NFL team.

The selected track project has a length of 5.41 km and includes 19 bends with an expected average speed of approximately 223 km/h. It offers three zones for using the DRS system, located respectively between turns 10 and 11, 16 and 17 and on the start-finish straight. The track is mostly flat, but there are a few bumps that the designers have worked into the track. The biggest drop is between turns 13 and 16, where the track passes under overpasses over rough terrain and follows the slowdown of the Florida Highway.
