A potential breach of financial rules by Red Bull Racing has become one of the main topics of discussion at the Singapore Grand Prix. On Saturday after qualifying, journalists asked Max Verstappen to comment on suggestions that his team spent significantly more money last season than the regulations allow.
“I know where these rumors come from, but from what I’ve heard from the team, we don’t have a problem,” Max Verstappen replied. – Now other teams have started talking about what they have no information about. I think this is a bit silly. They better keep their mouths shut.”
Next week, the FIA is due to submit an official report on the teams’ costs and any violations. Red Bull Racing has consistently denied all allegations against them and assures that they have acted within the framework of the regulations.
