Miami Grand Prix boss and Hard Rock Stadium director Tom Garfinkel said on Sunday that drivers’ criticisms at the track will be taken into account.
Tom Garfinkel “We are ready to change whatever it takes to make the track better.
I don’t know if we explained well enough why the chicane was set up. This is a forced measure to make the rest of the track great. We needed a place to slow down the cars with a chicane because we just don’t have enough space. But after talking to people from Formula 1 and the FIA, we will find an opportunity to change it to make it better.
We’re also considering coverage issues, with security zones. It’s important to do everything right because if the riders don’t get a chance to get off the track, there’s less overtaking and we don’t want that. I’m not a track architect, but I want as many overtakes as possible. We will review everything very carefully and make the necessary changes if necessary.”
