Formula 1 calendar will increase by three stages in future – media

Formula 1 management intends to increase the number of Grand Prix races per season to 25 in the near future, according to RaceFans.

According to the source, the exact timing of adding new stages to the schedule is unknown. Under the terms of the current agreement between the racing teams and Formula 1 management, 25 races on the calendar is the maximum allowed.

This season, 22 Grand Prix stages are on the calendar. The provisional calendar for next season includes 24 races.

The overall leader this season is reigning world champion Max Verstappen.
