Roman Grosjean spent ten years in Formula 1, then left for Indycar and when Haas F1 needed a replacement for Nikita Mazepin, team leader Gunther Steiner turned not to him, but to Kevin Magnussen.
In an interview with RacingNews365, Grosjean revealed how he feels about it…
Roman Grosjean: “I don’t miss a single race in Formula 1. I’m a real fan. Do I want to return? If only I had been called to Red Bull, Mercedes or Ferrari. But I like to watch races.
No, I would not agree to return to Haas F1. Sometimes I communicate with Gunther, but only once or twice a year. I messaged him congratulating him on his return to wrestling, but otherwise I’m quite happy with where I am now.
Now Haas F1 is in good shape, but I want to be able to fight for the win every race weekend – and in Indycar I have that chance. I have no doubt that the first win will come soon.”
