Fernando Alonso (7th): “I’m happy to be back in Suzuka, Friday went well. The rain did not contribute to fruitful work, but I especially felt sorry for the fans who were outside for a long time. Honestly, I prefer dry weather.

Esteban Ocon (9th): “It’s great to be back with Suzuka after a long break. I missed this track and was able to test this year’s car on it today.
As the weather forecast promised, it rained during the day, but we managed to ride more than we originally expected. The car performed well in both sessions, we gathered important information.
