Verstappen says first F1 title made him more excited

PilotRed Bull » Max Verstappen said he felt more emotions when he first won the Formula 1 title and also noted the team’s work.

The Dutch driver won the Japanese Grand Prix on Sunday and became F1 champion for the second time in a row. Verstappen won the title last season.

“It’s crazy, mixed emotions. I won the race, but looking back, what a year we had, it’s unbelievable. Thank you so much to everyone who worked so hard. The work we did with Honda to win the title twice… especially here, it’s very emotional. I am proud that we have achieved this in Japan.

The first title evoked a little more emotion, the second turned out to be more beautiful. It’s been a special year and you have to remember that seasons like this don’t happen often.”

Four more stops are scheduled for the current season, with the next one taking place October 21-23 in the United States.
