Formula E team DS Automobiles has announced a partnership with Penske Autosport. In the new season of the electric racing series, the team will compete under the name DS Penske, with Stoffel Vandorn and Jean-Eric Vergne driving the cars.
Thomas Szewoche, Head of DS Penske: “Starting a new partnership is always a special moment and we are all looking forward to starting a new chapter with Penske Autosport.
We kick off our collaboration in the best possible way with two champions on the team. With Stoffel and Jean-Eric we probably have the best and fastest pilot pair in the peloton. With the power unit and DS Performance software, we are in the perfect position to fight for wins and titles.”
Jay Penske, founder of Penske Autosport, said: “We are delighted to partner with DS Automobiles, an iconic automotive brand that shares our ambition and commitment to excellence.
This is an important milestone for our team, which we have been waiting for for a number of years. Together we will push the technological boundaries on our way to victory. With world champion Stoffel and two-time champion Jean-Eric, I’m sure we have the strongest driver pair.”
