The organizers of the Singapore Grand Prix presented an updated track configuration and announced the start of ticket sales for the 2023 race.
In the new version of the configuration it was decided to leave four turns – the 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th. Instead, a straight line will appear on the segment from Turn 14 to the former Turn 20 – Singapore hopes this decision will increase the number of overtakes, which has always been difficult on the city circuit.
The new configuration has yet to receive FIA homologation, but such matters are agreed in advance, so in this case we are talking about a formal procedure.
Tickets for the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix, which will take place September 15-17, have gone on sale. For the cheapest three-day tickets, they charge 298 Singapore dollars (208 US dollars). A ticket for the three-day race weekend in the main grandstand costs SGD 1,788 (US$1,247).
