Aston Martin has signed a contract with former Formula 1 driver Pedro de la Rosa, who has become the team’s official ambassador and will work in this role with partners and the press.
In addition, the 51-year-old Spaniard will become an advisor for a new youth program that helps select and train young riders.
Pedro de la Rosa: “I am delighted to become Aston Martin F1 as a team ambassador. I already know a lot of the staff, having worked with Fernando Alonso a lot at McLaren and Ferrari, and now I’m looking forward to getting to know the rest.
I use my experience and knowledge to help the team grow and progress, with a focus on the marketing and commercial side of the business.”
Mike Krak, Team Principal: “The appointment of Pedro de la Rosa to Aston Martin F1 demonstrates once again our determination to strengthen every element of our team. Pedro will help us to better deal with the press and fans, and will also play an important role in the work program with young drivers.”
