Alfa Romeo told the glorious story of the boy Goto

Alfa Romeo told a touching story about a young fan who sent a letter to Frederic Vasseur, the head of the Swiss team, three years ago, containing his childhood drawings and 19 euros.

In the letter, a boy named Goto apologized for not being able to help the team with a larger amount, but it was all his savings. At the same time, he did not give his last name or a return address – there was not even an email address.

But the team decided to find Goto at all costs and turned to fans from different countries with a request to share information – suddenly someone knows this boy.

And now the team talked about the happy ending of the story: through joint efforts they managed to establish that Goto lives in Japan, find him, and during the days of the race weekend, the young Japanese fan of Alfa Romeo was the personal guest of Frederic Vasseur.

Of course he visited the team’s pits, on the captain’s bridge, was given an Alfa Romeo uniform as a gift and even sat in the cockpit of the car. In addition, in the days of last weekend on C42, among the names of the team’s sponsors, his initials also appeared, albeit not in the most prominent place and not in the greatest print.

According to the team, “Goto has rightly been given his well-deserved spot.”

Overall, this is a story from the category of those that would have been worth thinking about if it hadn’t actually happened.
