Tsunoda and de Vries set an unusual record in 2023

In 2023, Nick de Vries will become Yuki Tsunoda’s partner in AlphaTauri. Preparations for this have already begun – on the eve of the Dutch rider came to the base of the team in Faenza, where he went through the fit of the saddle.

AlphaTauri is waiting for de Vries to take on the role of leader. In a year we will know if Nick is up to the task or not, but already we can say that AlphaTauri riders will set an unusual record in 2023. According to Sky Sports correspondent Ted Kravitz, Yuki Tsunoda and Nick de Vries will become the shortest teammate pair, surpassing the previous record set by Super Aguri riders Anthony Davidson and Takuma Sato in 2008.

The average height of a pair of Super Aguri pilots was 165 centimeters (166 centimeters tall Davidson and 164 centimeters tall Sato). In AlphaTauri, the average height of pilots will be 163 centimeters (167 centimeters tall de Vries and 159 centimeters tall Tsunoda).

Yuki Tsunoda is the shortest Formula 1 driver in 2022. The tallest are Alex Albon and Esteban Ocon, with a height of 186 centimeters.
