Steiner: Rivals do better than Haas

Gunther Steiner explained in his own way why Haas F1 earns significantly fewer points in the second half of the season than at the start of the championship: this is mainly because other teams started to work better and equipment reliability increased.

Kevin Magnussen scored points in three of the first four races of the season and it looked like such a strong start meant a good continuation, but after the Japanese round, Haas F1 fell back to 8th place in the Constructors’ Championship and gave way to Aston Martin, whose drivers had two very good last Grand Prix.

“I just think strong teams have achieved good reliability of the technology and now they are racing really well,” Steiner told RacingNews365. – The four top teams are doing very well and the riders of the other six teams have to compete for ninth and tenth place.

Now the situation looks exactly like this, but the question is, what exactly explains this? I don’t know, but that’s the nature of the sport and the competition is just better than the Haas, there’s nothing to hide.

You can also come to this conclusion: in my opinion, limited budgets are doing their job, because the teams have come closer than ever before. The six teams behind the top four are in a very close battle and at each stage each of them can earn points for 9th and 10th place.

Sure, if someone rolls back, our situation improves a little bit, but by the way, this suggests that everything is going as it should. I think in a few years the strength of the teams will become even more equal and the battle for points will become even more intense.
