George Russell invited his parents to visit the Mercedes base, where they had never been before – this is a kind of gesture of gratitude for all they have done for him as he started his career in motorsport.
Judging by the happy faces of the parents, they are very happy for George and proud of their son’s achievements.
“Yesterday my parents visited the Mercedes base for the first time,” said Russell. “They have played a very important role in my career from the start. When I was still karting, my father was my mechanic and my mother wrote all the information about the settings and the results of the laps in a small green notebook.
So far our trip has been incredibly successful and the family has gone above and beyond to ensure this. For the first time, my parents held in their hands the trophies I had won, and when I saw the smiles on their faces, I was overwhelmed with pride.
