Aston Martin drivers Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll are optimistic about the US Grand Prix and will earn points to close the gap with Alfa Romeo in the battle for sixth place in the Constructors’ Championship.
Sebastian Vettel: “I made my F1 debut 15 years ago at the American Grand Prix in Indianapolis. It’s always great to be back in the States, especially on such an interesting track with a lot of difficult sections.
As usual, it’s hard to predict where we’ll be in the middle of the pack, but the last races have shown that we can earn points regularly, so I’m confident. We want to continue the positive trend that emerged at the end of the season.”
Lance Walk: “Austin is an incredible city with a great atmosphere during the Formula 1 race weekend. I am very happy that we are returning to Circuit of the Americas.
We have shown a great pace in recent races and I think this trend will continue in Austin. After several good results, we are in the running for sixth place in the Constructors’ Championship, so we are aiming to earn more points and close the gap.”
