Sebastian Vettel called on the world community to continue to assist Ukraine in the fight against the aggressor.

Do not forget about the war in Ukraine and continue to help the country in its fight against the invaders. With this appeal to the world community the 4-time world champion in Formula 1 Sebastian Vettel was once again confronted. The German racing driver believes that helping Ukraine is the first thing world leaders should be concerned about.

“We must not forget that Ukrainians are suffering today, tomorrow and, perhaps, will suffer for a long time. It is difficult for me to listen to the stories of some families who fled to Ukraine and tried to seek asylum. Imagine their suffering.

I grew up in a time without war. You travel the world, you see so many places and you know it’s a privilege to live the way we live in Europe. So I think our number one rule is we need to take care of Ukraine.

There has been a long and bitter debate in Germany as to whether weapons should be provided. In the end, it was worth it. The threat is we don’t know how this situation will get worse today, and how it will get worse tomorrow.

We don’t know what Putin and Russia will do – or mostly Putin. And this is uncertainty. But I think we should do everything we can to stop him and help people who feel intimidated, especially people who are suffering like Ukrainians.

There have been discussions in Germany that we need energy – if not, what will happen to the economy? On the other hand, this money finances the war and harms the people. Because it was a very difficult moment.

If you keep thinking about it, it becomes more difficult and the answer to this question is less simple. But, like I said, we shouldn’t forget people. People are dying, people are suffering. So we need to find a solution, ”Vettel said.
