Lance Stroll is happy with the result of qualifying in Austin, and Sebastian Vettel believes he failed to reveal the car’s potential…
Lance Walk (7th): “On Saturday we had more grip, I felt much more confident and got a great position at the start of the race. I’m very happy for the team, lately we’ve made some serious progress working with the machine and looking better in qualifying. Today I liked everything, although the conditions were difficult because of the wind.
Taking into account the penalties of rivals, I start two positions higher, a fifth place gives a good chance of success in the race.
Sebastian Vettel (12th): “I am not satisfied with my result – the car allowed me to achieve more. I’m not happy with my fast lap in the second part of qualifying – I didn’t feel confident in the back of the car. The first sector was difficult due to the tailwind, I lost a lot of time when in the third corner the rear of the car tore off.
