The ex-world champion collided with Aston Martin pilot Lance Stroll in the next round of Formula 1.
Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso were involved in a tragic accident at the US Grand Prix. On lap 22 of the race, the 2005 and 2006 world champion went on to overtake his rival on the straight. However, Stroll showed his indifference by moving to the left and only blocked the Spaniard’s trajectory.
Because of this, Alonso flew into the back of the Canadian car which almost took it off.
Note that as a result of the incident, Stroll was forced to retire, and the two-time world champion, after visiting the pits, was able to continue the race.
