The FIA has a special program that determines the environmental impact of companies operating in the motorsport and automotive industries.
The program is called the FIA Environmental Accreditation Program and is based on current international standards. The first highest rating – three stars – was received by the McLaren team in 2013 and now confirmed for the ninth year in a row.
Felipe Calderón, President of the FIA Environmental Commission: “I congratulate McLaren Racing on the outstanding achievement of confirming the FIA environmental accreditation. In 2013, McLaren became the first motorsport organization in the world to receive environmental accreditation from the FIA. The actions taken since then have raised McLaren to the highest standards, equivalent to the level of three stars.
