After Audi confirmed its arrival in Formula 1 in the 2026 season at the end of August, Audi did not name the team they would be working with, although it was clear that this was Sauber, now operating under the Alfa Romeo brand.
The team issued a statement today confirming the signing of a strategic partnership with Audi. In addition, Audi AG plans to acquire a stake in the Sauber group.
For the 2024 and 2025 seasons, the team will continue to use Ferrari engines to celebrate the continued collaboration that has enabled the team to make significant progress in terms of competitiveness and stability.
