Valtteri Bottas, together with representatives of the Save the Children charity, with which the Alfa Romeo team works, visited one of the leisure centers for children in Mexico City.
The racer talked to the boys, played with them, including sculpting animal figures from plasticine, according to local edition Tuformula.com. Of course, he signed many T-shirts, specially made by the team for the occasion, and baseball caps of the brand.
The next point of the program was the school, where Valtteri was treated to a traditional Mexican dinner, which the Finn really liked, precisely because the dishes were very spicy. Of course he also appreciated the coffee, prepared according to the classic local recipe of Café de Olla with lots of spices.
“These encounters brought back a lot of memories of my own childhood,” said Valtteri. – I like coming to Mexico, and I especially liked talking to kids, because I still like to participate in games. But I also appreciated Mexican cuisine!”
The Save the Children Foundation is a non-governmental organization whose mission is to fight for children’s rights. The Foundation works in different countries of the world and helps children from low-income families to get a decent education. Bottas donated one of his helmets to the foundation, which will later become one of the charity auction lots.
