Martin Brundle, a former Formula 1 driver and now a popular commentator, still occasionally gets behind the wheel of race cars, but most of the time it happens when he is involved in filming highly entertaining stories for Sky Sports.
In short, he has to drive historical vehicles, on which the heroes of recent years have performed in the World Championship. This is exactly what happened in Mexico City at the Rodriguez Brothers Circuit, with Brundle in the car of one of these brothers.
This is the BRM P153, a 1970 car with the original BRM 3.0-litre V12 engine that led the talented Mexican driver Pedro Rodriguez to win the Belgian Grand Prix that season and finish second at home in Mexico City.
“Run six laps around Mexico City in a 1970 BRM P153 V12. This was spectacular. This car was driven by Pedro Rodriguez – the track is named after him and his brother. Thanks to George Russell for lending his helmet!” said Brundel.
