Before the start of the Mexican Grand Prix, McLaren racer Lando Norris complained about the imperfect work of the brakes, but admitted the team would not have time to fix the problem.
Lando Norris: “On the way to the grid I felt that the track was very slippery, but this was to be expected. However, it is always slippery here. The temperature will rise, so I foresee that the race will be difficult, the clutch will be missing and it will be difficult to do anything about it.
In addition, I feel that my car’s brakes are not working as they should, but this season we have had a lot of problems with the brakes in general. Because of this instability, I don’t have much confidence for the race, which of course isn’t very big, especially since there are such long braking zones. Unfortunately, there is very little time left before the start and we have no time to do anything.
I hope during the race the brakes will stabilize – I’m not a brake systems specialist though, so I don’t even know…”
