The championship continues with a series of three stages in a row, separated by weekly intervals: Imola is scheduled for May 19-21, Monaco is scheduled for May 25-28, followed by a stage in Barcelona on the first weekend. from June.

Then there is a break of 4 weeks and the 8th stage of the championship will be held in Spielberg at the beginning of July, from there Formula 2 goes to Silverstone. The next two rounds will take place in Hungary and Belgium on July 21-23 and July 28-30, respectively.

Stefano DomenicalicFormula 1 President and CEO: “We are delighted to confirm the F2 calendar for 2023 and look forward to another exciting season with drivers vying for the title in hopes of a chance to advance to the top of the Motorsport.

This championship continues to play a very important role in nurturing future talent, and it is great that the next generation of Formula 1 stars will have 14 rounds at fan favorite tracks by 2023. They are also going to Melbourne’s famous Albert Park for the first time.”

Mohammed bin SulayemFIA President: “I am delighted that Formula 2 and Formula 3 races, the last two steps in the youth series hierarchy, will continue to take place alongside Formula 1 events. This is the best way to prepare for future achievements on the best tracks in the world, and I look forward to seeing the next generation of riders take on this new challenge when they race for the first time in Australia next year.”

Bruno Michel, Executive Director of Formula 2: “The F2 calendar in 2023 consists of 14 stages, just like this season. In 2022 we have 28 races, more than ever, and we want to stay at that level next year.

It’s good that many circuits want to add F2 events to their race weekends, but we always remember that the more races, the higher the cost. That is why we have decided to limit the number of stages in 2023, to 14 again, while continuing to support the teams to maintain their budget.”
