The Maserati MSG Racing team has announced its driver roster for the ninth season of Formula E. As expected, Edoardo Mortara’s teammate will be Maximilian Günther, who will replace Nick de Vries who joined the team to Formula 1.
Edoardo Mortara: “I joined the team in the fourth season and over the years it has become my home. I am very happy to continue the cooperation in the team of such hardworking and talented people.
The past five seasons have been some of the best of my career and I look forward to building on our success with the third generation. As a Swiss-Italian driver, I am honored to represent Maserati after their return to international motorsport.”
Maximilian Gunther: “I am very proud to join Maserati MSG Racing and Edoardo for the ninth season. I admire the team and its achievements in previous seasons – it was difficult to get ahead of them and they fully deserved the title of vice champion.
It is a great honor to be involved in the return of the Maserati brand to racing in partnership with MSG Racing and I look forward to working together.”
