Jack Duane was nervous before his Alpine debut

Jack Doohan made his Formula 1 debut as part of the race weekend last week, completing his first practice session in Mexico City in an Alpine. The Australian rider said he had been very nervous in the weeks before the races.

“I have had a great experience, which was preceded by some serious preparation,” quotes Jack Duane edition of Racingnews365. – I started training at the beginning of August, when the first news appeared that I could make my debut in training.

You are always nervous when you have to go from a Formula 2 car to a Formula 1 car. I tried to deal with the excitement, assuming that I already got what I want – racing in Formula 1. In the four weeks before the races ,,I was much more nervous than Friday in Mexico City.

As soon as I got behind the wheel and pulled out of the pits, I was overwhelmed with emotions, but at the same time all the excitement disappeared. It’s hard for me to explain, but I felt a really cool feeling.”
