Formula 2 organizers have announced changes to the season’s calendar. Instead of the canceled stage in Sochi, the races from July 22-24 will be held on the French circuit Paul Ricard. This decision made it possible to save the Formula 2 calendar of 14 stages.
Bruno Michel, series director: “Since the cancellation of one of the stages, we are looking for a replacement, taking into account the costs. Le Castellet is the best option, so we are pleased to announce the return to the Paul Ricard circuit.
The decision will allow us to run the scheduled 14 races, making the current Formula 2 calendar the longest since the series launched in 2017. There is a lot of work ahead for the team and drivers in July, but it will be an exciting time for the fans and everyone involved in Formula 2.”
