A large-scale presentation of the Grand Prix, scheduled for November 2023, took place in Las Vegas last Saturday, and we’ve already talked about how that went.
Now some details about how Hamilton and his father Anthony had fun at the XS nightclub have made it to the press.
After Lewis, his Mercedes teammate George Russell and Sergio Pérez of Red Bull Racing performed in front of fans and spun donuts in their race cars on the famous Las Vegas Strip, the evening continued at the club.
Lewis and his father took the stage, where the audience was entertained by the famous American DJ Diplo, who also celebrated his upcoming birthday that evening, and danced to the enthusiastic applause of the audience, after which the seven-time World Champion took a picture with one of the young fans in a wheelchair armchair. This photo was immediately replicated on social networks.
“I’m really excited to be in Vegas, just to drive down the Strip and see what it all looks like on the big screens. I have no doubt that this will be the best race ever – thank you so much for the invitation!” Hamilton noted.
When asked if, after all the famous temptations of Las Vegas, he would be able to maintain the necessary concentration in the days of the upcoming Brazilian Grand Prix, the Mercedes driver replied cheerfully: “No! However, we participate in races that take place in Singapore and Monaco, for example, and there is a lot going on too!
Although, of course, it is not so easy to maintain concentration. But we also came to see what this city has to offer.”
In 2023, the Las Vegas Grand Prix will be held on Saturday, November 18, and Formula 1 races were quite rare on this day of the week, although there were once such instances. The World Cup stage returns to this Nevada city for the first time after a 40-year hiatus.
