The organizers of the Australian Grand Prix have announced the start of ticket sales for the national leg of the World Championship, to be held from March 30 to April 2, 2023. Tickets go on sale November 22, but pre-orders can already be made.
The ticket promotion is held under the motto: “Don’t just watch Formula 1 this year – experience it!”
It can be expected that interest in the race at Albert Park will increase and that the demand for tickets will decrease quite quickly. First, the talented Australian Oscar Piastri, last year’s Formula 2 champion, will make his McLaren debut in 2023, including Jack Doohan and neighboring New Zealand.
In addition, according to the press release of the organizers, all ticket holders will enjoy a varied cultural program, performances by famous artists and DJs, as well as gastronomic splendor, which will be provided by local restaurant masters.
In general, the Australian leg of the World Cup is known for always being fun and interesting, thanks to the right approach by the organisers, despite Melbourne itself being a very attractive city for tourists.
We recently mentioned ticket prices for the upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix, which are clearly off the charts, and Stefano Domenicali, Formula 1 president and CEO, explained it this way: “We’re going to make the prices high because this Las Vegas is , and everything most closely matches the nature of the crowd that comes to this city.
Melbourne is a much more democratic place, and here a common room ticket for all four days of the weekend costs $250. If a fan wants to buy a so-called “takeaway ticket”, they have to pay another $15.
The most affordable grandstand tickets start at $415, and this grandstand is named Mark Webber and is located opposite Turn 11. Tickets to the grandstands named after Daniel Riccardo, Alain Prost, Damon Hill and Juan Manuel Fangio cost $525.
And the most expensive seats in the grandstands, which are on Turn 1 on either side of the track, are named after Australian World Champions Alan Jones and Jack Brabham, and you have to pay $625 to get there.
For comparison, we can give an example: in Las Vegas, a regular ticket to the public space costs $500.
