Down-the-line.com / Formula 1. Formula 1 is in the hunt for a new sponsor after negotiations to renew a contract with Dubai-based airline Emirates failed due to the asking price, according to SportBusiness.
The deadline to renew the deal has expired and negotiations have been halted as Formula 1 is known to request around double the amount of $25m a year. The current agreement with Emirates expires at the end of 2022, the contract has been in force since 2018.
