Sebastian Vettel has just two races left in Formula 1 before retiring. In Sao Paulo, the four-time world champion said he will not think about this fact until journalists start questioning him.
Sebastian Vettel: “I have good memories of Interlagos, both race and off-track events. I’ve had some great races in Brazil so I’m looking forward to the start of the weekend and hope we’ll be more competitive than in Mexico City.
I like to play in Interlagos. It’s a great song, but I don’t think about everything I’ve been through here. I don’t get overwhelmed with memories until they start asking me about them. Over the years, the rider develops a certain daily routine on the track, so that the Brazilian stage is in some ways similar to all the others.
I have two more races to go, after which my career is over, but I try not to think about it. In fact, I look forward to what lies ahead. I don’t spend much time looking back. Besides, I’m not even sad.”
