Haas Magnussen driver sensationally takes first place in sprint qualifying at Brazilian Grand Prix

Danish Haas racer Kevin Magnussen clocked the fastest time in Friday’s qualifying for the Brazilian Grand Prix, which will form the starting grid for Saturday’s sprint race.

Double world champion Max Verstappen (Red Bull) is on the second row in the final protocol, George Russell closed the top 3. In the third segment, the British Mercedes driver flew into the gravel and could not continue the fight during the last attempt, red flags were hung above the track. After the incident, the rain intensified, so the drivers could not improve on the final times.

Magnussen returned to Formula 1 in the 2022 season, replacing Russian Nikita Mazepin at Haas. For the American team, this is the first pole position in history.

This race weekend format is being held for the third and final time of the 2022 season. Another free practice session is scheduled for Saturday, followed by a 100km sprint. Based on his results, the starting grid for Sunday’s Brazilian Grand Prix will be formed.
