This weekend, the FIA would like to thank the volunteers who work on the stages of all championships that take place under the auspices of the federation in different countries and on different continents of the planet.
November 12 and 13 have been declared “Volunteer Weekend” for providing invaluable help with the running of the races, and the FIA has invited everyone from fans to drivers, from journalists to team leaders, to thank the volunteers via social media.
Mohammed bin Sulayem, FIA President: “Volunteers and official representatives of national motoring clubs are the soul of motorsport. Without their tireless efforts, we simply would not have been able to run races in a safe and organized manner.

To mark the occasion, the FIA press office has produced a short video thanking the volunteers for their work by Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen, Kevin Magnussen, Felipe Massa, Robert Kubica and many other famous people from the motorsport world.
Lewis Hamilton, seven-time world champion, Mercedes racer: “Without you we couldn’t do what we do, you are our unsung heroes! And I want to thank you all very much for your dedication to the cause, for the time you devote to it.
