Athletistic/Formula-1. Today, November 12, the Brazilian F1 Grand Prix sprint will take place at the Interlagos circuit.

Athletistic will broadcast a live online text broadcast: Formula 1. Brazilian Grand Prix. Sprint. Direct

The José Carlos Pace circuit in Interlagos is one of the shortest circuits on the Formula 1 calendar and will host a sprint weekend today.

Last week in Mexico overtaking proved difficult, but Interlagos should give drivers the chance to get around their rivals.

The track contains a section with a long throttle, and the middle section will test the cars’ agility and cornering ability. This weekend there will be two DRS zones, the first of which will start at the third corner, and the second activation point is located closer to the start of pit lane.

Brazil also hosted a sprint last season, which was won by then-Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas.

Three drivers on the current roster have Brazilian Grand Prix experience, including Vettel, who has three wins.

Last year’s victory at Interlagos was the third for Lewis Hamilton, while Verstappen claimed victory in 2019.

Sainz is looking forward to another memorable weekend at the track, where he claimed his first podium finish three years ago. But he will leave with a penalty of 5 positions. And of course, qualifying hero Kevin Magnussen should be mentioned – the first pole of his career in an underdog team. His Haas will sprint, but he had his moment of glory thanks to the rain and the departure of George Russell in the third segment.
