In Saturday’s sprint Sebastian Vettel struggled from start to finish, recaptured a few positions but finished ninth with no points. His Aston Martin teammate Lance Stroll finished 17th on the penalty.
Sebastian Vettel (9th): “Today I fought with all my might. We got stuck behind Okon, I think his car was damaged and I lost some time behind, otherwise I could have competed with Magnussen for eighth place.
In general, we can be satisfied with today. The car allowed us to drive at a good pace, we checked the tire wear and regained several places. Let’s see what happens tomorrow.”
Lance Walk (17th): “I had a good start and recovered a few positions on the first lap. Everything looked positive, but then the speed started to drop – and I lost a few places in the fight in the middle group. We need to understand what happened.
Tomorrow, however, the main race awaits us – anything can happen. ”
