The Ferrari press service has confirmed that Robert Schwartzman will return behind the wheel at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The young rider will train the first free practice, replacing Carlos Sainz.
For Robert, this will be the second experience of driving a Formula 1 car as part of a race weekend. He previously replaced Charles Leclerc in the first practice session of the US Grand Prix.
“It was a very interesting experience, albeit a short one, because I only did six laps offensively,” Robert said of his participation in Austin practice. – In any case, every lap is important to me, because I had the opportunity to drive a real car, so that later I could provide better feedback to specialists working on a simulator.
I have to work on a training session in Abu Dhabi, and there I will fly with more confidence, also because I know this circuit. That is why everything has to turn out even better there.”
