Esteban Ocon hopes to help the team finish the season in fourth place in the Constructors’ Championship…
Q: How do you feel about the last race of the season?
Esteban Ocon: In Brazil, the team has earned a lot of points. Our staff on track, at Enstone and at Weary gave their best, we deservedly secured our fourth place lead in the Constructors’ Championship.
But this is not the end. Until the final flag on Sunday we are fully focused on the battle, we will try to finish the season on a high note.
Q: What do you think of the job?
Esteban Ocon: There are always mixed feelings for the last race of the year, but we are happy to be back in Yas Marina. Last year the track was finalized by widening the turn 7 hairpin and removing the chicane. We saw a new corner replacing the 90 degree turns at the end of the straight. Overtaking has become a little easier, which is always interesting for drivers and fans. In general, I really enjoy performing here.
Q: What are your expectations for the weekend?
Esteban Ocon: We need to consolidate success. We have a fast car, we hope to prepare well for the race and finish the season on a high note.
The year turned out to be exciting, with successes and failures, we did our best and now we will not relax. The last push forward. Let’s make this weekend unforgettable!
