In the first free race session of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, eight teams will replace the lead drivers with reserve drivers in one go. Only AlphaTauri and Mercedes have scheduled the participation of the main riders in the morning practice.
At Ferrari, Robert Schwartzman will be behind the wheel of Carlos Sainz’s car and at Red Bull Racing, Liam Lawson will replace Max Verstappen for sixty minutes. Robert Kubica returns behind the wheel of Alfa Romeo, who will work out training instead of Guanyu Zhou.
Jack Doohan will drive Alpine Fernando Alonso, Pietro Fittipaldi will replace Mick Schumacher at Haas, Logan Sargent will continue to drive Williams and replace Nicholas Latifi.
The two drivers will make their debut behind the wheel of Formula 1 as part of the official session of the race weekend. At Aston Martin, Felipe Drugovic will replace Lance Stroll, while Pato O’Ward will take the wheel of Lando Norris’ McLaren.
