Perez denies rumors of deliberate crash in Monaco

In refusing to let Sergio Perez go to Sao Paulo, Max Verstappen cited some personal reasons that Red Bull Racing did not put forward.

Rumor has it that in Monaco Perez admitted to Christian Horner and Helmut Marko that he deliberately flipped the car during qualifying to interfere with his partner, as Nico Rosberg once did – and this was the reason, but now the Mexican denies everything.

Sergio Perez: “Anyone can make a mistake in Monaco. There was nothing intentional about this. You can watch it again yourself.

I almost crashed the car in the first corner. It’s easy to make a mistake in Monaco, and also in qualifying. All this is the speculation of journalists and those who generate rumors.

In the team, we all understand what matters – and we want everything to stay within the team. At that time I was trying to show the best lap time, I was just thinking about it, but sometimes people make mistakes.
