Sargent: I feel much more confident behind the wheel

Logan Sargent took part in the first free practice session for the fourth consecutive stage, replacing Nicholas Latifi in Abu Dhabi. Williams is happy with the car and how the preparation for qualifying went.

Alex Albon (16th): “In my opinion we have a more competitive car this weekend than in several previous races. The car is effective on tracks at this temperature – we’ve always performed better under artificial lights than during the day. Speed on a long set of circles is also good – good Friday overall.

Nicholas Latifi (20th): “I skipped the first practice and returned to the track in the second session, which turned out to be pretty standard. The grip on the track was much higher than expected, but I can add more. I hope we will take a step forward tomorrow, and I will add.

Logan Sargent (15th): “I am delighted to have the fourth and final first practice session of the season for the Williams. Now I feel much more comfortable and confident compared to the first round in Austin.

A huge thank you to everyone on the team for their support. I look forward to getting behind the wheel of the FW44 again in a few days for testing. Now all my focus is on the two remaining races in Formula 2 – I need to finish the season with a high result.
