Esteban Ocon (7th): “It is always a pleasure to be in the spotlight in Abu Dhabi, the last Friday of the season proved successful for us. We collected information about the operation of the Soft and Medium tires, were able to make progress between sessions. Everything went well, but it’s only Friday. It’s important to do well in qualifying because overtaking in Abu Dhabi is not easy.”
Fernando Alonso (8th): “Today I had less time to prepare than usual – Jack Doohan got behind the wheel of my car in the first session. Nevertheless, in the second we worked out the planned program without any problems.
The balance still needs to be improved to attack as much as possible in qualifying. As my Alpine career comes to an end every day, I enjoy every moment with the team.”
